As brand new newlyweds {just over a month!!} we are working on staying on a very strict budget. It's very tough. Especially for the husband- he seems to be in sticker shock as he is introduced to the real world of how much things cost. So in an effort to stick to the {gasp} budget we are meal planning.
Well, I am meal planning.
And blogging.
Why not, it's free.
So on this Tuesday I am online window shopping and trying to get ideas for {cheap} dinners.
I am using this meal planner:

which can be found here : http://www.theprojectgirl.com/2009/01/19/menu-planning-form-free-download/
Meal planning appeals to the side of me that craves organization, although generally I fail pretty miserably.
It is my downfall- I make wonderful plans but have terrible follow through.
Tonight we are eating crock pot chicken tacos that my wonderful aunt shared with me the last time she was in from Virginia and since then have become a staple in our home. They are cheap and since I love spicy mexican food they fulfill a craving for me.
Chicken Tacos
3-4 chicken breast
1 jar picante sauce {as hot or as mild as you like!}
Flour tortillas
Dump into the crock pot and let it sit all day while you are busy being productive!
That's all you need!
Well, you may want toppings- we always have cheese and sour cream.
Sometimes we even have lettuce and/or tomato.
And to sign off- here are a few things I am wising for this Tuesday:
